The picture is presented at the moment of the catastrophe…..and two horses which have been fed most scientifically – not one wisp of hay more than required to keep them going…..the Sabbath eve approaches and there is no time to lose. The horses are urged forward. All goes well until – this is the moment when Rosenthal came along… One horse has broken completely free of the rigging and faces the cart with grim amusement… (reprinted from The Townsman)
