Louis Rosenthal was my grandfather also and I was fortunate to have known him well. It had been said of him that he carries a museum around in his pocket. Now, thanks to Sharon Rosenthal's wonderful work, what was once carried in his pocket can be seen, as before, all around the world.

Your grandfather's website was brought to my attention by colleagues here in the museum and I have just had a wonderful time 'walking around' the website in Louis Rosenthal's footsteps.

Your introduction to the site and your evident delight in his works and his remarkable life are highly contagious and I found myself moving from the miniatures to the reviews; from the catalogue to the commentaries with a similar smile that I probably picked up from your photo.

Clearly this is much more than a tribute to Louis Rosenthal's artistic achievements – as remarkable as they may be in themselves - but the real joy was evident in the way you have dedicated this site – and of course to the museum – as an ongoing project celebrating not just to his artistic legacy but to his life.

I am the son of Allan and Jean Berman from Baltimore. My mother was vry artistic and loved your Grandfather miniatures. She had passed on to me small collection of 8 beautiful schulptures beautifully crafted by your Grandfather.. I am now 66 and my Mom and Dad are gone onto a better place..I am interested in the pieces I have in terms of history and availability of others. Thank you for all your diligence and enthusiasm in creating this wonderful tribute to your grandfather and his exquisite miniatures. I hope I am privileged to see them later this fall in conjunction with the exhibition of the Miniature Painters, Sculptors and Gravers of Washington, DC.

As a historian I find your work and contribution a treasure trove of material on Revival Period miniature sculpture and hope to incorporate some of it in my latest book project. As a practicing miniaturist the works are intriguingly inspirational. What delight for those who have the pleasure to examine them in person.
